The Standard Short Upcycled Cotton Terry - Quarry
As the domestic supply chain becomes more and more difficult to rely on, we are taking on as much of the vertical manufacturing process as possible. As a part of this, we are super excited to release The Standard Short. Made from a slightly lighter-weight cotton terry, it is still a fabric created out of the signature upcycled cotton from Recover Textiles and with our knitting partner in NJ. Just like our iconic watch caps and socks, this beautiful, vibrant yarn is completely sustainable and made using no dyes or chemicals from fabric scraps in Spain (thanks, Zara) and purchased through their North Carolina partner mill, Hickory Mills in North Carolina.
- Organic hemp cord drawstring
- Super soft recycled cotton terry
- 1930s shuttle loom USA-made needlepoint labels.
- 100% USA Made.
- The item has been prewashed and dried for softness and minimal shrinkage.
Fit: an easy and super comfortable standard fit leg with a hem that sits just above the knee.

Source: This garment is made from RCotton, a yarn milled in Spain by Ferre, a centuries-old mill. Why Spain? Spain is home to the largest textile manufacturing factories in the world (Zara, anyone?) and is a country that is decades ahead of any other country in recycling post-industrial and post-consumer textile waste produced by these factories. We purchase this yarn from their American partner mill, Hickory Throwing, in North Carolina.
